the start of first time buyer's month
Miller Homes East Midlands is turning October into first time
buyer's month, with two special events in Lincolnshire designed to
get people onto the property ladder.
FirstBuy weekends will be held at the popular Deansleigh
development, just off Nene Road on the Northern edge of Lincoln, on
8 / 9 and 29 / 30 October.
It will provide an opportunity for those looking to make their
first move to find out all about the FirstBuy initiative. There
will also be the chance to discuss ways of turning the dream of
owning a property into an affordable reality with a Miller Homes
sales advisor.
FirstBuy is a scheme designed to help first time buyers into
affordable home ownership, with 10,500 buyers expected to use it to
get onto the property ladder in the next two years. Those
qualifying for the scheme will be able to purchase 100 per cent of
their home by paying up to 80 per cent of the value now, with both
Miller Homes and the Government equally funding the remaining 20
per cent in the form of an equity loan.
Commenting on the forthcoming FirstBuy weekends, Ann Crick,
sales director for Miller Homes in the East Midlands, said:
"There are lots of people who aspire to being a homeowner, but
want to feel confident and secure in their decision, after all,
buying a home is a very big step. FirstBuy makes the process even
easier and it's already helped hundreds of people purchase a
property from Miller Homes.
"We wanted to offer first time buyers an opportunity to come and
talk to us about the options they have and also to take a look at
the properties that will be available via FirstBuy on the exciting
second phase of our Deansleigh development."
Deansleigh has quickly become one of Miller Homes' most sought
after developments in the region. With views of the Cathedral,
proximity to the town centre and nearby playing fields and peaceful
green spaces, it has been a hit with families and first time buyers
alike since opening its doors last year.
Amongst the properties available via FirstBuy, as part of
Deansleigh's new second phase, is the Rydal-style townhouse. With
prices starting from £117,950 or £94,360 with FirstBuy,
this two-bedroom property has a large lounge and dining area, with
French doors opening out onto the garden. It also benefits from
ample storage space and downstairs WC.
