A team of mountain men from Mansell Construction reached new
heights in their latest challenge to scale the highest mountains in
England, Scotland and Wales and raise cash for charity.
The team from Mansell's Stourbridge-based Western region
successfully completed the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge, scaling
the heights of Britain's highest peaks.
The six-man team, supported by three drivers, completed the
challenge in just 20 hours and 40 minutes, securing a silver medal.
The team scaled Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon.
Their exploits are estimated to have raised around £2500
for charity.
The team was captained by Gerry Iafrati, supported by climbers
Dean Howard, Steve Davies, Greg Hopkins, Michael Nolan and John
Nunney. The drivers were Andy Price, Neil Turney and Robert
Perkins.
Mansell regional managing director and team member Steve Davies
said, "This was another fantastic team effort following on from our
double gold medal achievement last year. It's always an
exhilarating event and the real pleasure is being able to raise
money for some very good and deserving causes."
