A Midland law firm's expansion plans which already include the
takeover of a Walsall company, will bring a boost to employment in
the Black Country.
HCB Solicitors, based in Solihull, recently merged with
Walsall-based solicitors Hadens and are looking to acquire other
law firms in the Black Country.
In the past three years HCB has taken over companies in
Redditch, Alcester and Lichfield and opened offices in
Stratford-upon-Avon and Harborne in Birmingham.
And each move has meant an increase in employment.
The acquisition of Hadens has brought another move -
re-location into new prestigious offices in Lichfield Street,
Walsall.
Mike Gahan, managing partner at HCB, said: "We needed more space
for our Walsall operation which we hope will be the spearhead of
further moves into the Black Country.
"With every move we have made there has been a need to take on
more staff from the local area, so as we broaden our reach in the
Black Country we will no doubt be taking on more employees.
"Manufacturing is still a core sector in the Black Country and
Hadens have specialists in employment and company laws in that
field.
"The new offices in Lichfield Street suit our brand well and
provide a good base for the legal services we offer in both
commercial and private law".
