A Charity Auction, with holidays and other great prizes going under the hammer, is being staged by members of Dudley and District Business Club, for local people with sight loss.

The auction will be held on October 18, at Hagley Golf Club, Wassell Grove Lane. Prizes donated by members and local businesses include a four-night break for four, a weekend hotel break, business support packages from members, a style workshop, a casino night, and two gallons of Ember Ale.

The event will help the Business Club's charity of the year the Pocklington Trust. Dudley Business Club chairman Mick Davies said: "We'd love people to bring friends along to make this a great success. Pocklington Trust, at the Mary Stevens Centre, in Oldswinford, in Stourbridge, do a great job in helping local people with sight loss in all sorts of ways."

Entrance to the auction is £10 per ticket, and includes a hot buffet supper. All profits from this event, which starts at 7pm, will help the Pocklington Trust continue their vital work.

New businesses are welcome, as well as business owners from the individual self-employed to companies. Booking is essential via www.ddbc.co.uk
