Bosses at Midlands housing association Nehemiah UCHA held a
family fun day for residents at their Field Street properties to
entertain tenants and provide information about services.
Along with face painting for children and entertainment provided
by a magician, residents were given advice on money management,
energy bills and home insurance as well as having the opportunity
to raise questions with their landlord Nehemiah UCHA about issues
ranging from tree felling to activities for the younger members of
the community.
Nehemiah UCHA Tenant Involvement Manager and organiser of the
fun day Tony Douglas said: "We had a great turn out of residents on
the day and the weather was really good. Nehemiah UCHA purchased
the Field Street properties from Orbit Heart of England Housing
Association earlier this year and the fun day provided a great
opportunity for the residents to meet the Management team and
Chairman of Nehemiah UCHA and also gave people the chance to learn
more about Nehemiah UCHA and the services that are available to
tenants."
Nehemiah UCHA manages 1000 properties across the West Midlands
with 283 properties in Wolverhampton and the association holds
regular walkabouts at their properties so residents have the
opportunity to meet staff and talk about any issues they may
have.
Chairman of Nehemiah UCHA Kwadwo Owusu-Darko commented: "I was
really pleased to attend the open day and enjoyed talking direct to
the residents of Field Street. As a community-based housing
provider we like to work closely with our tenants to ensure we
deliver the homes and services that they want. Meeting them face to
face and learning about what they like and don't like is a great
way of ensuring we reach our target of 100% tenant
satisfaction."
