Sutton Coldfield based Care Companions Ltd are celebrating after
reaching the regional finals in the category "The Care Employer
Award" with less than 250 employees.
The Great West Midlands Care Awards form part of The Great
British Care Awards, which are a celebration of excellence across
the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to promote best
practice within the sector and pay tribute to those individuals and
organisations who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within
their field of work.
Sushila commented: "I am absolutely thrilled with this accolade
as it recognises the value we place on our staff and regard as our
greatest asset".
Teresa added: "We have an open door policy so staff can come and
see us whenever they want, even if it is not work related. Our
ethos is to care for and nurture our staff as we believe happy
staff lead to happy clients".
Sushila set up Care Companions to help and support people to
remain independent in their own homes. The company has built a
fantastic reputation for service excellence and been nominated for
several awards. Only staff that genuinely care about people's
health and wellbeing are recruited, trained and mentored to realise
their potential. Care Companions is a small but ever growing
organisation that believes in high quality and consistent care in
the community, with Dementia clients being the forefront of the
service.
