A Black Country combustion engineering company has expanded and
moved to new premises using a six-figure loan from Lloyds TSB
Commercial.
BS Burner Services Ltd specialises in the design, manufacture
and installation of combustion equipment, both mechanical and
electrical, for a range of hot air and water-based heating
systems.
The firm completed a move from its old premises in Amblecote to
a new, larger site on Wallows Industrial Estate in Brierley Hill
this month.
The move has allowed the business to bring the office staff and
engineers onto one floor, while also providing space for the
manufacture of combustion equipment on site.
To fund the move, the company approached its banking partner
Lloyds TSB Commercial, which provided the loan to allow the
purchase of the new premises. Further professional support was also
provided by David Chinn, partner of Dudley-based accountancy firm
Worton Rock.
The company, which has nearly doubled its turnover since 2009
when the current owner took over, has further expanded by setting
up a trade counter at the new premises.
David Gorst, director at BS Burner Services, said: "The new
premises have enabled us to bring together our workforce which
makes for a far more efficient workplace. We now have the space to
expand the business further and are pleased to have opened the new
trade counter.
"The business has gone from strength to strength since I took
over two years ago. The engineering industry is still thriving in
the Black Country and we are proud to be a part of that.
"The support that we've received from Lloyds TSB Commercial has
been instrumental in our growth, and by working closely with the
bank we hope to further invest in the area and look to hire more
staff members as the business continues to grow"
Mark O'Connell, relationship manager for Lloyds TSB Commercial,
said: "BS Burner Services is a well-established business that has
managed to trade well throughout the economic downturn.
"Manufacturing and engineering is a mainstay of the West
Midlands, particularly the Black Country, and we are committed to
helping companies like this invest back in the area as they are
fundamental to the UK's economic growth.
"We provided £6.7 billion of committed gross lending to
SMEs during the first half of 2011 and BS Burner Services' premises
move is just one example of the kind of project this funding can be
used for."
