Two Derby companies are working together to help businesses save
money and improve their carbon footprint.
Esker, global leaders in document process automation, whose
Northern European headquarters is based on the Wyvern Business Park
in Derby, have selected fellow Derby company, the Irongate Group,
to supply the consumables for their 'Mail on Demand' service, which
launched earlier this year.
The Irongate Group currently supplies Esker with the materials
it needs on a Just in Time process. Esker currently prints around
100,000 pages over the course of a month for its clients, so the
Irongate Group stores the materials (paper, envelopes and printer
consumables) in its warehouse and supplies them as and when
required, which eliminates the need for significant stock
holding.
Esker launched its 'Mail on Demand' service from its Derby
office 18 months ago in a bid to help businesses 'Quit Paper',
reduce the costs that go with dependence on paper, eliminate the
number of errors and reduce their carbon footprint.
Over the past year, Esker has transformed the way that many
local businesses manage their out-going mail. The 'Mail on Demand'
service allows businesses to automate and outsource their document
delivery by mail - saving time, paper and money in the process.
Commenting on the partnership between Esker and the Irongate
Group, Stephen Wynne Jones, technical director at Esker said:
"We are delighted to have partnered with the Irongate Group. It
provides us with a fantastic opportunity for inward investment and
to help reduce our own carbon footprint.
"The Irongate Group was selected as one of our trusted suppliers
for our 'Mail on Demand' service thanks to its location and
flexibility with delivery, which allows us to order consumables as
and when we need them, rather than trying to find somewhere to
store 100,000 pieces of paper!"
Andy Dowling from Irongate added:
"We have built up a strong relationship with Esker over the last
18 months. Using our online system, Esker can order printed
envelopes from stock stored in our warehouse and it's delivered to
them next day.
"Our stock management system also sends out regular reports to
alert Esker of any low stock levels, which is crucial when dealing
with business critical documents such as their envelopes."
