Two young women who started their careers with a leading county law firm as Paralegals are celebrating after qualifying as Solicitors.

Emma Jacobs, who lives in Acrefair, joined the Criminal Department of GHP Legal after being a volunteer for the Youth Justice Service. The former Maelor School and Yale College student gained a degree at the University of Liverpool before taking the Legal Practice Certificate at Chester College of Law. Emma now works in the Oswestry offices of GHP Legal where she specialises in private client work.

Sarah Roberts, who also joined GHP Legal as a Paralegal, is based at the firm's Wrexham office. Sarah attended the Marches School and was later a student at Walford and North Shropshire College. After graduating from the University of Liverpool with a first class degree in Legal and Business Studies she went on to Chester College of Law where she first gained a Graduate Diploma in Law with Distinction and subsequently undertook her Legal Practice Certificate. Sarah specialises in civil litigation, employment and personal injury work.

Congratulating Emma and Sarah on qualifying, GHP Legal Training Partner, Robert Williams, said: "Both Emma and Sarah are already valued members of the team and we are delighted they have chosen to stay with the firm on qualifying as Solicitors."
