Rowsley's hotel and restaurant East Lodge in the Peak District
has renewed it its status as an AA 'Inspectors Choice' Red Star top
hotel - at the prestigious annual awards ceremony in London last
Monday - singling out East Lodge not just as one of the finest
hotels in the region, but as one of the cream of a select few
hotels in the UK - as confirmed by the AA's own Inspectors. In the
words of the AA's own website, Red Star hotels "stand out as the
very best in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, regardless of
style".
Bringing together some of the most influential people within the
hospitality industry, The AA Hospitality Awards evening recognise
the outstanding accomplishments of high-achieving AA establishments
and individuals. Held on 26 September at the Park Lane Hilton, the
'Inspectors Choice' Red Star accolades were presented by presenter
Sophie Raworth of BBC fame.
Iain Hardman Deputy Managing Director of East Lodge said: "It is
a great honour and achievement to have been awarded the AA Red
Stars once again and to receive them at such an amazing event makes
it even more special. Our success is a team effort and a credit to
the hard work of all our staff. Receiving the accolade for the 5th
year confirms that our team at East Lodge is continuing to deliver
an outstanding overall guest experience that has helped to give our
hotel and restaurant the national recognition it deserves."
The renewal of the AA Red Star rating is yet another award to
add to the East Lodge haul of accolades and comes hot on the heals
of the Silver Award at the Enjoy England Awards 2011 for
Outstanding Customer Service. Other numerous awards include 'Small
Hotel of the Year' from East Midlands Tourism and a silver winner
in 'Hotel of the Year' 2009/10 from the 'Tourism Oscars'. East
Lodge is owned by the Hardman family and the AA's three red stars
place the hotel in a select bracket of the top 150 hotels in the
whole of the UK and this exclusive venue remains one of just 48
hotels in the country presented with a Visit England Gold
Award.
Iain concluded: "Awards are always welcome, but a first class
hotel and restaurant with service to match is why our guests and
diners return time and time again. We believe if you work hard at
making the hotel and restaurant as good as they can be, the awards
will look after themselves."
