A disabled teenager and family from Wrexham have praised the
"first class" paediatric services offered by the Telford-based The
Complete Group.
17-year-old Paige Thomas has profound learning and physical
disabilities and is totally dependent on others for her care and
quality of life.
Paige, her mum and dad Kath and Darran, and her 15 year-old
sister have used the care specialists' paediatric services for four
years.
Kath and Darran have praised the Complete Group for going "above
and beyond" to provide Paige with the highest quality of service
and care.
They said: "Paige has an amazing group of carers who provide
unbelievable care, giving her an amazing quality of life. This is
possible due to the amount of support that Paige and we as a family
receive from the company.
"They are not only professional, but also understand that even
though the home is a work place for the carers, they also know that
it is exactly what it is - a HOME - while also ensuring that
Paige is maintained within the family environment and we all have
time as a family.
"We cannot praise or thank the Complete Group enough for the
service that they have provided, not only to Paige but to us
all."
The Complete Group offer high quality child and family-centred
services to support paediatric patients with conditions ranging
from brain injuries, spinal cord injuries as well as cerebral palsy
and other disabling conditions.
Sally Yandle, MD of The Complete Group, said: "At Complete, our
focus is to provide first class paediatric services to the children
and their families that we support in their own homes, helping them
to maximise their independence, well-being, and quality of
life.
"Our paediatric service identifies all the needs of a child with
complex health care needs and puts in place a care package tailored
to their individual and family's needs and one that respects their
dignity and choices.
"Care packages are delivered by personal assistants, who undergo
comprehensive training, led by an experienced paediatric nurse,
prior to providing one-to-one care with ongoing supervision and
support from experienced paediatric nurses."
The Complete Group's complex paediatric health care is
structured around the standard for disabled children and young
people and those with complex health needs which forms part of the
government's National Service Framework for Children, Young People
and Maternity Service.
