Great Britain athletics legend Steve Cram urged Midlands firms
to use the Olympics to inspire future business success when he
spoke at an event hosted by Yorkshire Bank.
The former World, European and Commonwealth gold medalist, who
won a silver medal at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, was invited
to Yorkshire Bank's Birmingham Financial Solutions Centre (FSC) on
Temple Row to talk about the psychology of success.
Cram, who is an ambassador for Yorkshire Bank, spoke about his
experiences as an athlete and a broadcaster and told around 30
invited guests that the principles behind achieving success in
sport and business are very much the same.
Gareth Jones, senior partner at Yorkshire Bank, said: "It was
fascinating to hear Steve's insights on success in sport and
business especially with the Olympics moving ever so
closer.
"Steve is a tremendous motivational speaker and ambassador for
the bank and his passion for sport and particularly the Olympics
certainly rubbed off on everyone who was lucky enough to join us
for the event.
"We had some great feedback from our members who came along and
everyone certainly went away with a positive mindset having
listened to his wise words."
