A business advisory firm has bolstered its corporate finance
offering in the Leicester region by restructuring its core
team.
Cooper Parry, based in the Business Quarter, has moved Matthew
Proudlove from its Nottingham office to spearhead its service in
Leicester and the surrounding area.
Mr Proudlove brings over 12 years' experience to the area and
will be responsible for all types of corporate transactions,
including corporate disposals, acquisitions and buy-outs. His
experience spans a diverse range of sectors and he has a particular
interest in the food industry having completed a number of deals in
the sector.
He said: " The market conditions have steadily improved in the
last 12-18 months and we are seeing an increased demand created
largely by corporate groups looking to acquire complementary
businesses, and by private equity investors looking for investment
targets. Many business owners are looking to cash in on this
demand, whilst also taking advantage of the current Entrepreneurs
Relief regime, which may not last for ever.
"We have one of the largest and most active specialist
corporate finance teams in the East Midlands with a long
established track record of delivering successful deals for
clients. It is important to our client base in the Leicester and
surrounding area that we offer dedicated Corporate Finance out of
the Leicester office - our strategy is to be first choice for owner
managers considering a sale, buy-out, acquisition or development
capital, offering corporate finance advice alongside other
services, such as tax planning, in an integrated manner."
Matthew joined Cooper Parry in September 2003 and having
previously worked for a national practice. He is a qualified ACA,
with the corporate finance qualification, and speaks fluent German
with good links with German advisers to facilitate Anglo-German
transactions.
Kevin Harris, partner in the Leicester office, said: "Matthew
has a solid background in the industry and will make a valuable
contribution to what we do in Leicester. He has a wealth of
experience and will enable us to continue to develop the client-led
service we provide to clients both locally and further afield."
