Four brides who recently married at a Derbyshire wedding venue
have helped it to make history by returning to work there as
ambassadors.
Jane Holmes (45), of Ashbourne, Christina Girvan (31), of Derby,
Kirsty Beresford (25) of Heage and Sarah Atkinson (34) of Long
Eaton, volunteered to talk to would-be brides about their own
experiences of tying the knot at Shottle Hall, near Belper.
It is believed to be the first time a Derbyshire venue has
recruited former brides in such a capacity and their first duty
will be to talk to potential brides about their own wedding
experiences at the venue's open day on Sunday. (oct 9)
Jane Holmes, who married husband Paul on September 2, said: "We
had the most fantastic wedding day and I feel slightly bereft now
it's all over.
"So when I heard Shottle Hall was offering the chance to become
a bridal ambassador I couldn't resist, especially the chance to
wear my dress again.
"Our wedding was by far and away the best day of my life and I
am really keen to share my enthusiasm with other brides."
The bridal ambassadors will make their first public appearance
at Shottle Hall's open day where they will chat to potential
brides, share their wedding albums and give top tips for getting
the best out of their big day.
Marketing manager James Davis said: "We get some really
wonderful thank you cards and the idea of asking some our brides to
represent us came from reading those terrific comments.
"Nothing speaks better to a potential bride than the genuine
firsthand experiences of someone who has recently married here.
"We are very privileged to have our ambassadors, they all are
full of enthusiasm and it makes us very proud to hear how much they
enjoyed their special days."
