Affordable housebuilder and regeneration specialist Lovell is
celebrating after Birmingham City Council's Housing department won
two prestigious national awards. Lovell is a key partner of the
Council's Birmingham Municipal Housing Trust (BMHT) and was
directly involved in the programme which won 'Best Use of Housing
in Regeneration' at the Regeneration and Renewal Awards.
BMHT also received the special Grand Prix Award at the
Regeneration and Renewal Awards, beating off national competition
from developments including the Olympic park and legacy
transformation.
The programme which took the 'Best Use of Housing in
Regeneration' Award featured Pershore Road in Edgbaston - a
£2.7m scheme of 33 properties (2, 3 and 4 bed houses and 2
bed apartments). David Gough, regional director of Lovell in the
Midlands, says:
"We're delighted - both for Lovell and also for our client,
Birmingham City Council. The Council has been rewarded for its bold
thinking, while we are delighted that the quality of the homes we
build and the service we offer have helped secure this award. This
development and others like it have been of great importance to the
city of Birmingham. Being based in Birmingham ourselves, it gives
us great pride to be involved."
