A mixed bag of property produced £2.5million worth of
sales at the latest auction by East Midlands firm
Savills.
Over thirty properties were offered to a full sale room at
Nottingham Racecourse. Star lots included a traditional three
bedroom semi-detached period home within Villiers Road, Woodthorpe,
which fetched £249,500, to a real bargain at £31,000
for a two bedroom flat in Winchester Court, Sherwood.
A number of commercial lots were also on offer in and around the
county. Watson Road, Worksop, a mixed residential/commercial
opportunity sold for £75,000, while 30/32 Market Place
Huthwaite, a commercial investment, achieved £90,000.
The former Lock Keepers home set on the Chesterfield canal at
Babworth sold for £70,000. This lot offered a unique
opportunity to those seeking an individual period home set on the
banks of a working canal and is in need of total renovation.
Bob Crocker, Savills Director and Auction co-ordinator comments:
"As we now approach our last sale of the year on the 1st December,
I am pleased to be able to announce continued interest by both
buyers and sellers. Our recent auctions have seen a return to the
room of purchasers looking to acquire a home, which has
complemented the existing investment/commercial market and
encouraged strong bidding."
