Browne Jacobson has recruited Associate Richard Freeth, the
former joint head of education at Anthony Collins, to its
Birmingham office.
Richard has over ten years advising schools, academies and local
authorities on a range of legal issues including admissions,
exclusions, special educational needs, safeguarding and school
reorganisation issues and is 'highly recommended' by independent
legal directory Legal 500.
Richard joins Browne Jacobson's growing 25-strong education
sector team which provides advice and support to over 500 education
providers on the full range of their legal issues.
Browne Jacobson's clients include the Girl's Day School Trust,
the General Teaching Council for England, Greenwood Academies Trust
and Oasis Community Learning.
The team has seen dramatic growth in the last two years and
according to the Department for Education is at the forefront of
the Government's flagship academy schools project having been
appointed to advise on approaching 200 academy conversion
projects.
