Eleven retailers and restaurants were awarded for their
exceptional customer service at the annual Highcross Outstanding
Service Awards, which took place at the centre's Showcase Cinema de
Lux on Tuesday.
Amongst those awarded at the event, which recognised retailers
and restaurants from 12 different categories, were Hugo Boss,
Beaverbrooks and ModelZone, who were awarded with the 'Mixed
Fashion', 'Jewellery, Accessories and Footwear' and 'Children's
Retailer' titles respectively.
Winners of each category were also awarded with £250, with
£750 going to Wagamama, who walked away with the overall
Hammerson-sponsored 'Retailer of the Year' and 'Restaurant'
accolades.
The second annual awards were hosted by Capital FM duo Twiggy
and Emma, and were based on mystery shopping results, which have
taken place across the centre over the last 12 months.
Jo Tallack, general manager at Highcross, said: "Highcross'
retailers and restaurants work exceptionally hard all year to
deliver excellent customer service to their visitors and the
Outsanding Service Awards are a way to recognise the hard work of
staff working in-store each and every day.
"Wagamama in particular really stands out from the crowd and
offers an exceptional service to its customers each and every time
they visit. Both the 'Restaurant' and overall 'Retailer of the
Year' awards are thoroughly deserved."
Other retailers recognised in the evening included Urban Pie in
the 'Cafes and Takeaways' category, Remploy in the 'Services'
category and Carphone Warehouse in the 'Electrical, Media and Gift'
category.
