An accountancy practice in Birmingham has expanded and moved to
new premises after receiving a £290,000 loan from Lloyds TSB
Commercial.
Collins Hart is an independent firm of chartered accountants,
tax specialists and business advisers which provides professional
advisory services to a range of SMEs and sole traders located
across the wider Midlands area.
Having been based in Sutton Coldfield since the company was
established in 1995, Collins Hart has now relocated to newly
refurbished offices situated in the lodge building located in the
grounds of 16th century Castle Bromwich Hall. The move will help to
facilitate Collins Hart's ambitions to expand their current client
base with services ranging from inheritance tax planning, tax
returns, annual accounts preparation and auditing.
After approaching Lloyds TSB Commercial to secure lending
support, £290,000 has been invested to facilitate the
relocation and refit of the new premises.
The business, which is headed up by Nigel Collins, currently
employs seven people, but hopes to increase head count in the near
future with a particular emphasis on the recruitment of
professional staff.
Nigel's son John is now also a practicing accountant with
Collins Hart, after he joined the firm just over a year ago. John
completed his accountancy training with KPMG and his appointment
offers succession planning to the practice as it continues to grow
and expand its client base.
Nigel Collins, owner of Collins Hart, said:
"Our business has grown and expanded considerably over the last
few years and we were more than ready to relocate our successful
operation to larger and improved premises.
"We are fully committed to providing a high standard of
accountancy, tax and business advice to our customer base, many of
whom have been working with us for several years. Our fabulous new
premises in Castle Bromwich will provide us with an ideal location
from which to better service our client base which is predominantly
located across the Midlands region.
"We have banked with Lloyds TSB Commercial for many years and
have found the bank's local team, to be incredibly supportive,
particularly when providing the £290,000 loan to facilitate
the relocation and refurbishment of our new premises."
Peter Taylor, relationship manager for Lloyds TSB Commercial,
said:
"Collins Hart is a very well-respected business with an
impressive reputation for providing sound accountancy, tax and
business advisory services to companies and sole traders across the
region.
"The business' relocation is testament to the clear strategic
objectives that Nigel has outlined in order to maximise future
growth in the company and we were pleased to be able to provide the
funding necessary to support this move.
"Our teams of relationship managers are able to provide a range
of tailored support to businesses such as Collins Hart, whether
they are looking to relocate to new premises take on larger
contracts, and in the first half of 2011 we provided £6.7
billion of gross committed lending to small and medium sized UK
businesses."
