Derby-based Conder Developments, part of the CWC Group, has gained detailed planning consent for a new 300,000 sq ft distribution unit at its Dove Valley Park site on the A50 at Foston.

Conder is offering a fast track build of just 32 weeks from signing up an occupier.

The CWC Group is currently on site at Castle Donington building a one million square foot distribution unit for Marks and Spencer. It has also signed up the Co-op for a new 350,000 sq ft distribution unit at its Castlewood site at junction 28 of the M1.

Paul Shanley, Conder's MD, said: "It is part of our group strategy to own well located sites and work with occupiers to meet their specific needs. Deals are still hard to conclude but there is always demand for a good quality building in the right location. We recognise that large retailers are planning for the future and our flexible approach has resulted in these major deals being concluded in a tough economic climate."

The proposed new development at Dove Valley Park will now be marketed by joint agents Salloway and BNP Paribas.

Stephen Salloway said: "Interest in the A50 corridor is increasing with logistics companies recognising the strategic importance of the 'toll-free' cross-country route. Dove Valley Park is well-located and I expect this 'fast-track' delivery approach from a company with a proven track record will have great appeal to those organisations wishing to shorten their lead-in times."

Existing occupiers on Dove Valley Park include JCB, Kuehne - Nagel, Truma, Dairy Crest and Futaba.
