A free seminar hosted by local pension expert, Jackie Fancourt
of Jay Financial, addressed a room packed with businesses to
provide them with the information they need to start preparing for
the 2012 pension reforms.
The radical reforms will mean that employers, large and small,
will be forced to automatically enrol employees in a workplace
pension scheme and contribute to it. The event being held at the
National Brewery Centre, Burton on Trent, explained the new
legislation, the duties which will be imposed on employers and
NEST, the new national pension scheme.

of warnings to PLAN, which is going to be critical for a smooth
introduction"
The morning generated masses of questions demonstrating the
complexity of the legislation. Jackie has presented to

vitally important that employers start to address the changes as
preparation is key to a smooth transition and to avoid onerous
