Midlands based law firm, QualitySolicitors Talbots, recently
raised money for a local hospice at its flagship networking event,
the Stourbridge Breakfast Club.
The Stourbridge Breakfast Club has been running for over six
years, and regularly raises funds for good causes locally. Held at
Hagley Hall, the Septembner event saw a raffle of a weeks holiday
in a Spanish villa. Over 100 attendees helped raise £541
which is vital to the work of the Mary Stevens Hospice.
"Without the help of people who so generously donate to our
work, we would be unable to offer the care which is so neccessary
to terminally ill patients, their carers and families" said Janet
Jones, Head of Fundraising for the hospice. "Due to the generosity
of the people who attended the Stourbridge Breakfast Club,
£541 was raised and I wish to thank QualitySolicitors Talbots
for inviting us to attend the event".
"QualitySolicitors Talbots has a long tradtion of supporting
local charities and we are more than delighted to have assisted the
Mary Stevens Hospice in so small way" said James Gwilliams,
Conveyancing Partner at the firm's Kidderminster office.
Over 100 people regularly attend the monthly networking event
that QualitySolicitors Talbots runs on a not-for-profit basis. "We
find that attendees enjoy the relaxed informality of the event"
commented James, "and the fact that we do not look to push what we
do or try and sell to them. It is simply a chance to talk with
other business people from the locality".
