Midlands law firm, QualitySolicitors Talbots, recently stepped
out for charity by walking along the River Severn in aid of a local
charity that supports children with physical disabilities.
Chris Westwood, Chairman of the Chris Westwood Charity for
Children with Physical Disabilities joined staff from
QualitySolicitors Talbots on the inaugural 'Talbots Walkathon'. The
Walkathon began in Bewdley in Worcestershire, along the banks of
the River Severn, arriving some fourteen miles later in Bridgnorth
in Shropshire - and for the hardy few, a return journey all the way
back!
Martyn Morgan, Senior Partner, QualitySolicitors Talbots, is a
Co-Trustee of the charity and is pleased that Talbots is able to
assist with fund raising efforts. "It was a great event with
walkers joined by friends and a few family pets. We are always
happy to support such a worthy cause and I greatly appreciate the
support of our staff who helped us raise nearly £800 for the
Chris Westwood Charity."
Founder and Charity Chairman, Chris Westwood, commented "It was
a great day and although not all of us walked the full route, we
are grateful yet again for the excellent support the charity
receives from QualitySolicitors Talbots and its staff." he
continued; "We run the charity with zero expense meaning every
penny raised will go to deserving children in the local area".
