At a time when 50 small businesses a day are closing,
Warwick-based software developer Rivo (named last December as one
of Deloitte's Top 500 fastest-growing technology companies),
continues to buck the trend, with a succession of major
contract signings over the last two weeks.
First off the block was a contract with Cancer Research UK, the
country's leading cancer research charity. As befitting any
national charity, they had very specific, detailed requirements,
and Rivo's contract win to provide risk-management solutions
followed an extremely rigorous and meticulous selection
process.
This was hotly followed by an announcement that the UK's leading
independent brewing and pub retailing business Marston's PLC would
be looking to Rivo to further strengthen its Health & Safety
management processes by proactively managing risk, improving
efficiencies and reducing administration.
To complete the hat-trick, Rivo has just welcomed on board Eddie
Stobart - with a 3-year contract to provide accidents and audit
recording capability.
Commenting on why he thinks there has been such a landslide of
wins recently, Russell Howarth from Corporate Sales says; "As a
company we're not responsible to a team of financiers and therefore
not driven by the kind of unrealistic targets they would have set.
This gives us the flexibility to invest time with a potential
client to focus on their needs and ensure it's the right thing for
them. We never just go in to sell straight away - we always justify
the requirement first. This non-pressured but knowledgeable
approach, combined with a flexible, intuitive product has really
worked for us."
