Construction and civil engineering firm Stepnell has appointed
Glen Irwin, who lives in Worcester, as mechanical, electrical and
sustainability manager.
Glen joins the company from engineering consultancy Gifford
where he was sustainability director. In his new role, he will head
up building services design and delivery and the implementation of
sustainability solutions and innovation across the Stepnell
business. The company has Worcestershire offices in
Kidderminster.

Stepnell managing director Mark Wakeford. "We are delighted to have
someone with Glen's on-site skills and wide-ranging experience of
delivering sustainability on actual projects on board, further
strengthening our expert senior management team."
Glen's career has also included working as sustainability
director for building services consultants Foreman Roberts. He is
an active member of the British Council for Offices' Environmental
Sustainability Group and regularly works with national innovation
agency, the Technology Strategy Board. He began his career as a
mechanical design engineer with Arup after completing a BEng (Hons)
in Environmental Engineering.
