Great Britain athletics legend Steve Cram will be among the
first guests to visit the new Midlands headquarters of national
audit, tax and advisory firm Crowe Clark Whitehill.
The former World, European and Commonwealth gold medalist and
Yorkshire Bank ambassador has been invited to the offices of Crowe
Clark Whitehill in Rounds Green Road, Oldbury.
He will be giving a presentation centred on sport and business
at the firm's new premises between 11.30am and 1.30pm on Thursday,
September 22.
Steve, one of the most successful middle-distance runners of the
1980s, said: "My role as an ambassador for Yorkshire Bank allows me
to speak to businesses in various sectors and I am looking forward
to visiting Crowe Clark Whitehill's new offices.
"Sport and business can be very much intertwined and success in
one can have a positive knock-on effect on the other.
"The lessons learned in sport can also be used in the business
world and there's not so much difference between the two as people
might think."
Johnathan Dudley, Midlands Managing Partner of Crowe Clark
Whitehill, said around 90 staff has transferred from its offices in
Kidderminster and Walsall to the one location at the newly
refurbished Black Country House.
"We moved in on August 26 and we are thrilled such a well-known
face and voice of athletics such as Steve Cram will be visiting
us," he said.
"It is the first time we have held a presentation such as this
and it is a great opportunity to hear Steve's thoughts on sport and
business.
"His advice is just as pertinent to the world of business as it
is to sport and we really appreciate Yorkshire Bank supporting us
with this event."
