Sileby Juniors FC kicked-off the new season in style with a
double-header by winning the prestigious pre-season Ibstock Sevens'
tournament and clinching a £400 sponsorship deal with
regional law firm Harvey Ingram.
Sileby Juniors' Under-9s' team - also known as the Spiders - saw
off strong opposition from a host of county teams to win the
Ibstock Sevens' tournament. Shortly afterwards, Sileby Juniors'
committee member and coach Dave King, also nailed the sponsorship
deal with Harvey Ingram, to help pay for the Under-9s' team
tracksuits for the forthcoming 2011/2012 season.
Dave says: "We're delighted with the way our new season has got
off to a flying start. Quite rightly confidence is sky high and
this is reflected by our ability to get big-name regional sponsors
on board like Harvey Ingram."
The new kit deal was overseen by Harvey Ingram's head of
construction Martin Jones. He says: "We're very pleased to be
sponsoring Sileby Juniors FC. The club's exceptional track record
and ethos in supporting, nurturing and developing grass roots
talent speaks for itself. We're delighted to be able to put
something back into our community and are looking forward to it
being another hugely successful season for Sileby Juniors."
