Two local businesswomen held a special party in honour of clients, friends and family, to thank them for a hugely successful first year in business.

Shelly Cox and Louise Allmark of The Amber Rooms in Shrewsbury launched twelve months ago with a vision to open a hair salon with a difference, which would not only offer a dedicated and professional hair styling service, but also provide customers with a place to relax and unwind.

A year on, and the duo have not only seen their client base grow and their number of staff double, but also have exciting plans for expansion over the next year as well as planned additions to the salon's portfolio of treatments.

Shelly Cox, co-owner of The Amber Rooms, said: "We are absolutely over the moon to be celebrating such a fantastic year, which really has exceeded every expectation we had for the business. The loyalty from our customers, both old and new, has been overwhelming and we would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to each and every one, all of whom have helped to make these last twelve months such a huge success.

"We have grown our client base significantly since launching last September, as well as recently having taken on two new members of staff, with further recruitment expected over the next few months.
