Thompson and Richardson, the Lincolnshire-based insurance broker
and independent intermediary, is celebrating after reporting record
profits for the first six months of 2011.
The surge in profits has meant that the company, founded in
1964, has been able to create five jobs already this year. Thompson
and Richardson now employs 82 people throughout Lincolnshire at its
offices in Boston, Grantham, Lincoln and Sleaford.
Chris Travers, joint senior partner at Thompson and Richardson
says: "As we grow we are able to access a wider range of insurers,
enabling us to offer attractive propositions to larger clients
usually serviced by national brokers.
"The Lincoln office recently obtained a client for a premium of
£300,000. Previously insured through a national broker, we
saved them £70,000 on the offering from those brokers. This
saving together with the local personal service has proved a
winning formula."
Travers said that this year could be the best yet for Thompson
and Richardson.
He added: "2010 was a record year and we are on course to
improve still further in 2011."
