Nottingham Racecourse has adapted to a more challenging economy
recently expanding its business model and re-defining the use of
the racecourse to appeal to the existing local market.
Corporate hospitality has faced a multitude of challenges
following the economic down-turn forcing venues to adjust and
extend their offerings to suit a more financially sensible mind-set
amongst their clients. As a result, Nottingham Racecourse has
provided clients with simple no-nonsense packages, priced to
reflect current fiscal actualities.
This summer the racecourse launched a simple, affordable
hospitality taster package, offering clients 25% off all their
hospitality. More recently, pay as-you-go conferencing, where
prices are allocated on an hourly basis was launched, allowing
clients to book as late as two hours before arrival.
Earlier this year Nottingham Racecourse collaborated with
Nottingham City Council to promote and productively utilise the
outdoor event space available at the course. The partnership marks
an extension of the racecourse's traditional business;
strengthening existing ties and offering clients the opportunity to
make use of all available space at the course.
Nadia Gollings, commercial manager at Nottingham Racecourse said
"Our venue, like so many others, has had to adapt to reflect
external economic realities and opening up the centre of the course
and offering modest affordable packages for corporate hospitality
has certainly showcased us to a new range of business during the
current challenging economic climate."
The racecourse is better known for its top racing calendar
throughout the year, however, when the course is not hosting a
racing fixture the venue boasts 15 suites accommodating 12 - 200
people. Conveniently located just two miles from Nottingham City
Centre and set within Colwick Park's 280 acres, Nottingham
Racecourse represents a unique venue offering greenery and open
space.
