Leading catering butchers Midlands Foods has made substantial
investment in transport. The meat wholesaler has purchased twelve,
advanced temperature controlled delivery vans, allowing them to go
from strength to strength in securing their place in the wholesaler
industry.
The new fleet is made up of brand new Mercedes, and VW Crafters.
All trucks are temperature controlled to ensure deliveries stay
fresh no matter where they are going in the UK.
The trucks are also equipped with new state of the art tracking
systems, which uses Navman GPS systems, enabling Midland Foods to
monitor the routes each truck is taking helping with time
management and efficiency. The technology will also help with
customer delivery enquires, as Midland Foods can track drivers
instantly to find out how long delivery will be.
Managing Director of Midland Foods, Russell Heptinstall, says
"We're delighted with the investment in our fleet and hope to give
our customers a better service because of it. We only use
experienced drivers with clean licenses and high levels of
experience and knowledge of both the areas they are delivering too
and our customers and products. These new trucks now match the
impressive quality and experience of the drivers that we
employ."
