Leading West Midlands based construction group Shaylor has
announced a raft of new contract wins with a construction value of
more than £13 million despite the continuing downturn in the
construction industry.
All areas of the business have been successful in winning new
tenders that span both the public and private sector.
Chief Executive Stephen Shaylor said he was delighted that the
group was maintaining its strategy of planned and managed growth,
geared around a strategic and sustainable business.
"These contract wins include some notable projects and blue chip
clients that reflect our commitment to providing added value with
quality of service and delivery at its core."
The recent wins include two new depots for Western Power at
Telford and Grantham, three new build construction projects
in the region, a private nursery, a MyPlace Youth facility and
a courtyard extension at King Edwards VI High School for
Girls, Edgbaston, Birmingham where Shaylor is currently on site
with a £7.2m new performing arts centre.
Shaylor Interiors also boasts four new project wins, two to
refurbish student accommodation at Warwick University, a
refurbishment of student accommodation at Mansion Brook in
Birmingham and an office refurbishment in Bristol.
Mr Shaylor believes that the company has firm foundations
for growth despite the gloomy prediction for future construction
activity.
"Balanced growth across all of our service offerings which cover
repair and maintenance, smaller special projects and interiors as
well as construction will help us maintain our position despite the
severe cut backs in capital spending from the public sector."
