Kathy Leo has been appointed Area Manager for Barclays Business in Birmingham and Solihull.

Kathy will head up a 14 strong Barclays Business team whose role is specialising in working with small and medium sized companies. She has 28 years business experience which has included time spent in other industries and self employment.  

Commenting on her appointment, Kathy said: "I am delighted to be moving into this role which provides me with an opportunity to work with a number of local businesses. Many businesses don't know if they should be expanding, contracting, sitting tight or selling up. But one thing for certain is that SMEs are crucial to the UK economy, and at Barclays Business we are working hard to support our customer's aspirations and business growth whatever their size."

Barclays strong record in supporting UK business has been underlined by last year being the bank's busiest year for start-ups since records began in 1988.

Kathy's interests outside of work include travel, reading and cooking.
