Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre (NEC) adds Jimmy
Spice's, the multi cuisine dining experience, to its growing list
of food and drink outlets.
Known as the ultimate destination for food lovers keen to sample
some of the world's finest cuisines, Jimmy Spice's will offer NEC
visitors a choice of Indian, Italian, Mexican and Chinese.
Ranjit Choongh, Head of Operations at Jimmy Spice's, said: "The
NEC is a great site that attracts visitors from all over the world
to its many exhibitions and events, and that's why we've invested
into what will be another restaurant in the chain.
"We hope to transfer the appeal of our internationally based
offer from the full blown restaurant to the NEC outlet which, while
still offering the freshly prepared, great tasting food, is just
presented on a smaller scale."
Jimmy Spice's at the NEC will operate like an express version of
the successful high street restaurant. Customers will have a
set menu to choose from that includes a choice of a main dish with
three set sides orders.
Alyson Cawley, Managing Director of Amadeus, the NEC's caterer,
said: "We're always seeking partners with the highest possible
standards and are delighted to be working with the well known brand
that is Jimmy Spice's, further enhancing the offer at the
venue.
"The outlet will open at one the biggest trade shows on the
exhibition calendar, Autumn Fair, which is expected to attract
around 35,000 hungry visitors between 4 and 7 September.
"The NEC is continually investing in its food offer and is a
venue that's committed to 'putting food first'. In addition
to Jimmy Spice's opening we will also be trialling a new retail
food offer within the exhibition halls."
