Nottingham-based IT specialists XMA have secured two significant
multi million pound contracts, to supply provide computer
consumables and electronic office supplies to Central Government,
and in a separate contract, to universities and colleges across the
UK.
Government Office Supplies
The Government Office Supplies contract (GOSC) is worth up to
£40million per year and was awarded to XMA following a
competitive tender. XMA will be responsible for providing access to
thousands of commonly purchased office products such as media, ink
and toner across Central Government, to spearhead potential savings
of up to 25 per cent.

because its commercial offering demonstrated experience in
providing a high standard of service, combined with significant and
sustainable cost-savings to the public sector.
"In appointing XMA as our contracted supplier we are on
reinforcing our commitment to save the taxpayer, millions of
pounds. XMA has been servicing Government organisations for over 20
years and we are delighted to be extending our partnership with XMA
with this contract."
Higher Education contract (LUPC)
XMA's recent education contract win was awarded by the London
Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) on behalf of the National
Working Party for Computer Supplies and Stationery (NWPCSS) and is
worth up to £15million per year.
This contract, which is expected to run for 4 years, was awarded
in recognition of XMA's proven track record in providing cost
effective IT solutions to the education sector.

Institutions that are members of five of the major purchasing
consortia will use XMA service from this month as well as other
members of the Wider Public Sector. The participating Educational
consortia are :
London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC)
Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium (SUPC)
Advanced Procurement for Universities and Colleges (APUC)
North East Universities Purchasing Consortium (NUEPG)
Higher Education Purchasing Consortium, Wales (HEPCW)
The LUPC's appointment of XMA is part of its mission to use
consortium buying power to spearhead savings across the sector.
This contract is the most recent awarded by LUPC to XMA, which has
been an agreed IT supplier for over 15 years.
