When Hollywood A-lister Jean Claude Van Damme visited Derbyshire
to film his latest blockbuster, he chose to relax away from the set
at local hotel, conferencing and golf complex, Morley Hayes.
The action star stayed at Morley Hayes for a week while he was
filming scenes for his latest movie, UFO. The film, described by
Derby film-maker Dominic Burns as 'an action-thriller with a dark
comedic feel', tells the story of how society turns on itself
during an alien invasion.
After a hard day's shooting, the Muscles from Brussels relaxed
in his suite at Morley Hayes' luxury 32 room hotel overlooking the
picturesque Derbyshire countryside.
Commenting on the movie star's stay at the complex, Andrew
Allsop, manager at Morley Hayes, said:
"It was an honour to have Jean Claude Van Damme choose to stay
here at Morley Hayes while he was filming in Derbyshire.
"Most of his filming took place in the evening and he spent much
of the day sleeping and relaxing, so our staff were on hand to make
sure his stay was as comfortable as possible.
"As you can imagine, John Claude Van Damme's stay with us was
met with tremendous excitement amongst staff and hotel guests and
we are looking forward to seeing the film when it hits our
screens," added Andrew.
Morley Hayes is the ideal venue for a company conference, a
team-building event, or corporate function and can cater for
everything from 1 to 90 delegates. It also boasts a four star, 32
room hotel, two golf courses and a choice of three restaurants.
