Staffordshire spa resort voted the best in England in the
world's top travel and tourism industry awards.
Hoar Cross Hall Spa Resort, the only spa resort set in a stately
home in England, has been judged to be England's leading spa resort
in the 2011 World Travel Awards, the seventh consecutive year it
has been a winner.
The World Travel Awards are the most prestigious awards in the
global travel and tourism sector and are regarded as the industry's
equivalent of the Oscars. Both travel agents and consumers are able
to vote online to decide the winners.
Hoar Cross Hall Spa Resort, near Yoxall in Staffordshire, beat
off competition from rival resorts such as Stobo Castle and The
Dorchester to win its category.
"We are absolutely delighted to be voted the best spa resort in
England again," said Stephen Joynes MBE, Director and President,
Hoar Cross Hall. "This is the seventh year in a row we have been a
winner at the World Travel Awards, which is a tremendous accolade
for all the staff.
"The simple reason for our success is that we keep our guests
happy. We work hard to maintain the highest standards and we are
always looking for ways to deliver an even better service."
Hoar Cross Hall Spa Resort combines the sumptuous pleasures of
staying at an elegant country house stately home, offering fine
dining and beautiful bedroom suites and penthouses, with the modern
facilities of a superb luxury spa resort providing a complete range
of specialised treatments and leisure relaxation amenities.
Set in 100 acres of glorious English countryside, the spacious
grounds include lakes, formal gardens, an Italian roof terrace,
tennis courts and a nine-hole golf course.
Stephen Joynes' first venture was a mobile fish and chip van
which he bought as a teenager at the age of 22 for £120.
After running several successful businesses, the self-made
multimillionaire purchased Hoar Cross Hall in 1989, restoring it to
its former glory and expanding and converting it into a hotel and
spa resort.
Stephen, who was presented with his resort's latest award at a
glittering ceremony in Turkey, added: "As I've worked my way up the
ladder, my motto has always been that if you look after your
customers, they will keep coming back.
"At Hoar Cross Hall Spa Resort, our regular customers don't just
keep coming back, they bring their family and friends with them,
too."
