A Nottinghamshire based hotel situated right in the heart of
Robin Hood Country, is hoping to raise money for the National
Autistic Society thanks to a Charity Dinner Dance they'll be
hosting later in the month with the help of some local
businesses.
Taking place on Thursday, 29th September, the Clumber Park Hotel
and Spa are encouraging as many people as possible to come and lend
their support to a cause that's extremely close to the General
Manager's heart indeed.
"My son was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome earlier this year
and so supporting and helping the National Autistic Society is
something that's extremely important to me," explains James
Hemming, General Manager of the hotel.
"I'm trekking to Everest Base Camp on 3rd October to help raise
money for the society and so the hotel hosting a black-tie Charity
Dinner Dance a few days before I'm due to leave, seemed like the
perfect way to kick things off and give people the opportunity to
support the charity too," he says.
Local businesses such as Atkinson Auto-tec from Worksop, DN22
Gardening from North Leverton and Nottingham based outdoor activity
company The Adrenalin Jungle have already pledged their help by
donating prizes to the silent auction and raffle which will take
place on the night.
Tickets to the Charity Dinner Dance are £30 each and
include a 5 course dinner, casino tables, swing music from a live
band, a disco and a photographer on hand to capture the night's
activities.
Prizes up for grabs during the silent auction and raffle
include:
‧ Signed Lee Westwood memorabilia
‧ One weeks' holiday at Tregenna Castle in St. Ives
‧ 1966 goal scorers' signed and framed collage
‧ Meal for two at the Michelin starred Auberge du Lac
Restaurant
‧ Private catering for 8 with a chef at your home.
‧ Paintballing for 4, lunch, games & refreshments at
The Adrenalin Jungle
‧ Four luxury day spas at the Clumber Park Hotel's New
Leaf Spa
‧ Overnight stays at two of London's top hotels -
Bermondsey Square and 10 Manchester Street
‧ Ben Sherman signature items
‧ Three Elemis gift packs
And for those who want to show their support but can't make it
on the night, bids can be made via email or post prior to the event
by contacting James at the hotel.
"I'd like to encourage as many people as possible to attend the
Charity Dinner Dance - we've got some great entertainment lined up
and there are some amazing prizes available in the auction and
raffle," James continues.
"It's sure to be a fun evening and the perfect antidote to the
dark Autumn nights looming just around the corner. More importantly
though, it'll raise money for a fantastic charity so whilst people
are enjoying themselves playing roulette or toasting their glass,
they can be doing it knowing they're supporting a very worthy cause
at the same time."
Tickets for the Charity Dinner Dance are £30 each or
£250 for a table of 10. VIP tickets are also available at
£65 each and include: half a bottle of champagne and half a
bottle of wine per person, priority seating & overnight
accommodation. A VIP table of 10 is £550.
