Leading healthcare services company focuses on communications

SRCL, a leading healthcare services company, has appointed Warwick-based Prova PR to handle its ongoing public relations activity to help the business raise awareness of its wide service offering and increase market share.

SRCL provides a national service to businesses across the healthcare spectrum, from large NHS trusts through to GP and dental practices. The company is the UK's largest clinical waste recycler and also offers a range of outsourced healthcare services such as patient transport. Through its work, SRCL helps to improve staff and public safety, ensure legislative compliance and minimise the environmental impact of waste disposal.

Brendan Fatchett, sales and marketing director at SRCL, commented: "With pressure on the NHS to cut costs, there is growing demand for private expertise to enable the heath sector to deliver high quality services and cost savings. With the cost of waste to landfill soaring and environmental issues being high on the agenda, ensuring efficient disposal of materials that can be diverted from landfill is imperative to the industry we service.

"SRCL is committed to promoting an understanding of the challenges in healthcare services management and, in turn, helping our customers make crucial savings and improvements to their business. We feel that Prova's established presence in the environmental arena and excellent track record in the public relations industry mean the team is a perfect fit for our needs."

Richard Postins, Prova PR said: "We're delighted to announce this new relationship with SRCL. As Prova's portfolio of clients shows, communicating environmental issues is one of our core competencies and we're looking forward to driving greater awareness of SRCL among healthcare audiences."
