One of the Midlands fastest growing law firms is expanding again
with the acquisition of a practice in the Black Country.
HCB Solicitors has merged with Hadens Solicitors in Walsall and
now has offices encircling Birmingham - the others being in
Solihull, Stratford-upon-Avon, Redditch, Alcester and
Lichfield.
The merger with Hadens gives HCB more strings to its bow. In the
past three years it has grown into a multi-partner practice with a
staff of over 100 throughout the West Midlands.
Hadens has four partners and a staff of 40 across their
individual client services and business services groups.
It handles issues surrounding family and employment law as well
as conveyancing, dispute resolution, commercial property, credit
management, debt recovery and company law.
It has also recognised that education is a growing area of
complex law and has created an education team which will be
speaking at the "Changing Face of Education" conference being held
at Coventry University on September 27.
Its spread of interests stretches to organising the "Lifestyle,
House & Home Exhibition" along with Post Property and The Wine
Tasting Company at Malmaison, Birmingham, on October 22.
Mike Gahan, managing partner at HCB, said: "Hadens fits well
into our portfolio. It is established in an area which has its own
legal complexities.
"HCB is growing quickly because it has a variety of city-trained
solicitors and a deputy district judge, all experts in a particular
area of the law and each acquisition we make brings something new
to the firm. The benefit to the client is that we have a wide range
of specialists under one roof.
"The special teams, such as the commercial and family law
departments, grow with each acquisition and have built up a
reputation for professionalism and taking the initiative in
complicated cases".
