Event organisers at one of the leading Midlands venues will now
have faster IT access, thanks to a major investment in new
technology.
The Southwater Event Group, which owns The International Centre,
in Telford, has installed a1-gigabyte internet link which has equal
upload and download speeds, to ensure organisers, delegates and
exhibitors have faster and more reliable internet connectivity.
Chief executive, Tom Gray, said: "There are very few venues that
offer this level of connectivity, and we're very proud to be
leading the way when it comes to IT facilities.
"We know that high speed capacity and reliability are crucial
for our clients, and so this investment is sure to be good news for
event organisers who are considering bringing their business to
Telford."
The new IT link is part of a multi-million pound investment at
the venue that has created a brand new events suite.
The Ludlow Suite is a 1300 sq m events space with additional
seminar rooms and a dedicated banqueting kitchen to serve the new
facilities.
It will be officially unveiled at a black-tie gala dinner for
the UK's top event buyers and their guests in September.
The new suite means The International Centre now has over 15,000
sq m of event space for all kinds of events from small boardroom
meetings right through to large scale conferences and
exhibitions.
Southwater Event Group also includes The Holiday Inn, The
International Hotel, Grays Hotel, and an in-house production
company, Stagecraftuk.
