Midlands' law firm Harvey Ingram has appointed five new trainee
solicitors. They are Kyla Brucciani, Nicole Rigden, Kerry Russell,
Emma Perkins and James Thurgood. All five have now started a
two-year training programme with the firm.
Kyla Brucciani is Canadian and studied law at the University of
Leicester, before completing her Legal Practice Certificate (LPC)
at Nottingham Law School. Kyla was sub-warden at a university hall
of residence and responsible for managing disputes, providing
support to students, organising hall activities and responding to
emergency situations. She is a keen scuba diver, skier and has
travelled extensively through Asia, volunteering at an orphanage to
teach English to Cambodian students. Her first seat is with the
firm's Retail team.
Nicole Rigden is from Northamptonshire. She studied law at the
University of Leicester before completing her LPC at De Montfort
University. She was very active in student politics at university,
a member of the student parliament and also volunteered as a
support worker for disabled students during her four years in
Leicester. Her first seat is in Dispute Resolution.
Kerry Russell started work as a paralegal in the firm's Personal
Injury team last year. She graduated from the University of
Leicester with a maths degree before gaining a first in Law from
Nottingham, where she sat her LPC. Kerry now formally starts her
solicitor training with the Family Law team in Leicester.
Emma Perkins has worked for the firm as a paralegal in the
Development & Regeneration team since October 2006. She joined
after graduating from Keele University with a degree in law with
business administration. She sat her LPC at the College of Law in
Birmingham. Her first seat is with the Personal Injury team.
James Thurgood has worked for the firm as a paralegal in Dispute
Resolution since 2004. He studied law at Nottingham Trent
University and is currently working on his LPC on a part-time basis
at Birmingham Law School. James joins the firm's Property
Investment & Finance team in Milton Keynes.
