Midlands' law firm Harvey Ingram was yesterday named among a
handful of national organisations short listed for the Law
Society's Excellence in Community Investment Award.
The coveted nomination reflects the firm's CSR, pro-bono and
community work, which includes numerous charitable fund-raising
initiatives, its long-term commitment to the Right to Read scheme,
plus extensive contributions of manpower to a string of
Leicestershire Cares, Birmingham Cares' community projects,
Birmingham Children's Hospital, along with its strong links to
Headway Leicester and the Child Brain Injury Trust Leicestershire
and Rutland Family Support Group.
Harvey Ingram senior partner Stephen Woolfe says: "I am
delighted to see the firm get short listed for this award. It's a
superb tribute that recognises the initiative and efforts of all
our staff and also reflects the firm's progressive approach and
commitment to our community."
The award will be presented at a glitzy ceremony next month at
Old Billingsgate in central London. The nomination follows a string
of top-tier accreditations recently presented to the firm by other
bodies. They include ProHelp Firm of the Year 2010, Leicestershire
Cares' President's Award for Outstanding Contribution to charity in
2011, while Private Client Practitioner magazine also named Harvey
Ingram's Trusts & Probate team in the UK top 25 for 2010 and
2009.
