Gleeds, the International Management and Construction
Consultancy, has recently begun their role as Project Management
Consultants to Sanguine Hospitality Limited's £10 million
development, Hotel Indigo, in Birmingham's city centre. The scheme
is due for completion at the end of the year.
The four star hotel will be located within landmark building,
'The Cube', which was designed by award winning architect, Ken
Shuttleworth, and will comprise 52 luxury boutique bedrooms. Set
over 6 floors and decorated according to local themes, rooms will
utilise state-of-the-art technology including flat-screen LCD
televisions, personal media hubs for internet, telephony and movies
and iPod docking systems.
The 25th floor will be dedicated to Marco Pierre White's latest
restaurant and will benefit from stunning 360 degree city views and
a glass fronted alfresco balcony. Guests will also be able to make
use of a new 24,000sq ft health club and spa offering 10 treatment
rooms and four thermal rooms. It also boasts a hydrotherapy pool,
two studios and several suites dedicated to the latest in fitness
training technologies. The development has even attracted celebrity
hairdresser, Adee Phelan, who will be opening an exclusive salon on
the ground floor.
Commenting on the scheme, Stuart Senior, Managing Partner at
Gleeds Nottingham operation who have overall responsibility for the
project, said "Our important consultancy role on Sanguine's
exciting development at 'The Cube' building is the culmination of a
collaboration between our two organisations which has progressed
over the past 18 months. We are delighted to be involved in what
will be another landmark development for Birmingham and look
forward to providing continuing support to Sanguine Hospitality
Ltd's expanding hotel and leisure portfolio".
