Gary Cormack has joined Nottingham insurance broker and
financial advisory firm The Wilson Organisation, as non-executive
Deputy Chairman, working alongside MD Charlotte Perkins and CEO
Annabel Prow.
Gary's previous roles include Trading Director for Boots The
Chemist, Commercial Director for Superdrug and Chief Executive of
Picsolve International Limited. He joins the Wilsons Group Holdings
Board, of which John Prow is Chairman, to assist in developing and
delivering the firm's ongoing strategy for growth across the
UK.
"As a family owned and run business, we recognise the importance
and value for the Board and management team of working with
non-family members and especially professionals with a different
skill set and market expertise," comments Annabel Prow.
"The firm continues to be ambitious and is vigorously focussed
on growing strategically, and Gary's experience and knowledge
brought from outside the business and our sector, will inject a
whole new energy, appetite and dynamic to our approach."
She adds: "Charlotte and I worked with Gary a few years ago, so
we are already aware of his wealth of knowledge and expertise, and
how he can quickly add value and fresh ideas to strategically
growing a business. Gary also already knows the senior team and the
business."
Gary Cormack adds: "I am delighted to be joining Wilsons at a
time of significant change and opportunity in both the financial
services and insurance markets. Wilsons has ambitious plans for
growth and I am looking forward to working with the senior team,
using my previous commercial and consumer experience to assist in
formulating specific plans and activities to meet our goals."
