Financial advisers celebrate success after moving to centre at old school

A team of financial advisers are so pleased with their new business premises in Long Eaton that they are organising an open day and network event to celebrate.

Honister Partners, based at the Mohan Business Centre in Long Eaton, are a franchise of part of the largest group of independently managed financial advisers in the UK.

Between them, partners Tej Basson, Ramesh Mistry, Steve Cornish and Hansraj Rohit have more than 100 years experience in the financial services industry and offer a full range of services.

Six months ago they transferred operations from Nottingham to the Mohan Business Centre on Tamworth Road, which was converted from the Grade Two listed 1910 former Long Eaton Grammar School building with classrooms turned into office suites. They still keep a base in the Nottingham Business Park.

"We moved to Long Eaton to enable our business to expand more cost-effectively than in Nottingham," said Tej.

"We are delighted to be in the Mohan Business Centre. Our turnover has increased by around 30 per cent in the six months that we have been here.

"We have never been so busy. We are planning to take on more staff to cope with the increased workload."

Now they want to show off their new home and their services with an open day and networking event on Wednesday (October 5) at the centre in what was the old assembly hall.

There will be representatives from the world of accountancy, tax, finance and legal matters present, including big names such as Santander, MetLife, PruProtect, Scottish Provident and the Nottingham Building Society.

Drinks and light refreshments will also be served at the free event which takes place from 3-8pm.
