Dukes Bailiffs has linked up with the Born Free Foundation, an
international wildlife charity working throughout the world to stop
individual wild animal suffering and protect threatened species in
the wild.
Dukes is proud to be associated with the lion, featuring a
lion's head in its logo and images of the beast of the jungle on
the branding of its website and in marketing materials. The lion
was chosen by Managing Director Colin Naylor when the company was
first established some 18 years ago as Colin's family crest depicts
the head of a lion.
The Stone-based company is now taking this association to
another level by adopting four Born Free rescued lions to ensure
they live full and care-free lives at the Born Free sanctuary.
Shada, Achee and Ma Juah, three lionesses, and Sinbad, a young
lion, live in Born Free's Big Cat Sanctuary at the award winning
Shamwari Wildlife Reserve, after being rescued from horrendous
situations. They will unfortunately never survive on their own in
the wild and need lifetime care but now live in their natural
habitat, surrounded by the sights and sounds of Africa.
The Born Free Foundation (www.bornfree.org.uk) is a dynamic
international wildlife charity, devoted to compassionate
conservation and animal welfare worldwide. Born Free's aim is to
'keep wildlife in the wild' and the charity works to phase out
zoos. They rescue animals from lives of misery in tiny cages and
give them lifetime care.
Anne Tudor, Marketing Director for the Born Free Foundation, was
keen to welcome Dukes on board, saying, "We are delighted that
Dukes have chosen to work with Born Free at the exhibition and have
developed such a novel way of raising funds and awareness for all -
especially our rescued Big Cats."
Dukes will be attending the IRRV Annual Conference &
Exhibition in Telford later this month and using the opportunity to
raise the profile of the Born Free Foundation. The company has
commissioned high quality china mugs with the BFF logo to celebrate
their partnership and visitors to the stand will have the
opportunity to make a donation in exchange for a mug.
They will also be holding a competition for the chance to win a
Born Free big cat adoption for one year and all monies raised
during the event will be given to the charity to help fund the care
of the rescued big cats as well as supporting Born Free's big cat
projects to help protect the species in the wild.
Colin Naylor, Managing Director of Dukes Bailiffs, said "We are
very proud to be working with the Born Free Foundation to raise not
only much-needed funds but also awareness of the plight of these
wonderful animals. Dukes will match all the money raised from the
IRRV event and are hoping to raise as much as possible".
