UK communications specialist Team Telecom Group (TTG) is
reporting international sales up 39% year on year, with sales to
markets including the USA, Australia, China and the Middle East now
accounting for 51% of the Group's business.
The Derby based company, which underwent a £32.8m
management buy out 16 months ago, has invested significantly in
developing new technologies and building its presence in key
regions around the World. It now operates offices in Beijing,
Taiwan, San Diego and Miami, as well as its ComGroup business based
in Melbourne, Australia.
Growth in the mining industry has led to the Australian market
taking 60% of the Group's international sales, with the Middle
East, China, the USA and countries such as Indonesia also upping
their demand for TTG communications solutions over the last 12
months.
Mike Norfield, CEO of TTG, comments: "In a tough economic
climate we've focused on developing cutting edge technologies,
which have the performance and flexibility to deliver reliable,
effective performance in diverse markets around the World.
Our solutions are now used by organisations ranging from the
Beijing police to sheriff's offices in the US and transport
companies in Africa."
With profits for the last financial year up 13%, and its first
UK acquisition completed, TTG is now in discussions with a number
of companies on both sides of the Atlantic as it looks to broaden
its global reach through further acquisitions.
Growth both internationally and in the home market is also
predicted in the next 12 months, with the company set to launch a
major new platform on which all of their future technology will
sit, including Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) Tier 2 and Tier 3, and
P25 mobile and terminal devices, together with systems
infrastructure.
"R&D is integral to our success, and we have some big plans
set out for the future," adds Mike. "We pride ourselves on
manufacturing much of our technology in the UK, and with the
upcoming developments together with the expertise we have among our
team, we are confident of further strong growth from both the
international and domestic markets."
TTG comprises five complementary businesses; radio
communications specialists Team Simoco based in Derby and ComGroup
in Victoria, Australia, which form Simoco Group; AirRadio in
Middlesex; C&C Technology in Hampshire; and Indigo Telecom
Group in South Wales. The group works in markets including the
emergency services, transport, oil, gas and the public sector.
The company also operates its own Apprenticeship Programme to
develop the next generation of communications talent to service its
growing global market. Applications for its Indigo Telecom
Apprenticeship are now open.
