Award winning Cushman & Wakefield is in the running for more
accolades after being shortlisted for two categories of the UK's
most prestigious health and safety honours.
The contest is the 'SHP IOSH' awards, which is organised by the
Institution of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH) in conjunction
with its Safety and Health Practioner (SHP) magazine.
According to the IOSH - which has more than 35,000 members
working in the health and safety industry - its awards scheme
acknowledges individuals or organizations that have made
significant efforts to promote good health and safety practice.
The event is now in its fifth year and the 2011 awards ceremony
takes place at London's famous Park Lane Hilton hotel on 20
October.
Cushman & Wakefield's Birmingham based asset management team
has been shortlisted for two categories - Cassie Bailey, risk
management co-ordinator, in 'new entrant of the year' and Mike
Lewis, associate director risk management, in 'achiever of the
year'.
The nominations come hard on the heels of Cushman &
Wakefield's performance in the recent prestigious RoSPA
Occupational and Safety Awards 2011 Birmingham where they scooped a
gold award.
Cushman & Wakefield asset management partner Phillip Taylor
said: "Our asset management team is widely acknowledged as one of
the best performing in the industry, so it is not surprising that
we are getting this kind of recognition. Fingers crossed for 20
October."
