Coventry firm launches app

House-hunters in Coventry and Warwickshire are being urged to make a 'smart' move after a local estate agent invested in the latest technology.

Shortland Horne, which has offices in the city centre, Earlsdon and Walsgrave Road, has just launched an iPhone app to make it quicker and easier for potential buyers to find details of a property they like.

If hunters see a Shortland Horne board outside a property, they can press a special 'seen a board' button on the app and by using GPS, the details of that home will be sent directly to their phone.

Details of other properties in the area will also be made available to the potential buyer.

Will Green, of Shortland Horne, said: "Traditional advertising and marketing are still very popular and are absolutely essential but we also understand the need to make the most of modern technology.

"We've just recently updated our website, we utilise social media and we have now launched our new iPhone app.

"It's a fantastic way for people with this type of smart phone to get instant access to details of properties they are interested in.

"I know one or two companies have launched apps but I don't think anyone else has a 'seen a board' feature, which really sets ours apart.

"It's free for people to download from the app store so I would urge everyone to go on and download it. And, when they see one of our boards, just push the button!"
